Rapide, Quasiment sans bugs, Utile pour étudier la Bible avec les concordances On peut maintenant naviguer plus profondément dans la Strong Un petit moins: pas beaucoup de versions bibliques disponibles, notamment dans les autres langues (par exemple la version Fidela en Roumain, la version Martin en Français..., ou autres versions Textus Receptus ). Excellent outil de préparation pour mes messages. Très versatile et beaucoup de contenu. Les différentes versions de la Bible sont très utile et le lexique est aussi très utile, sans compter les ouvrage historique tel que les pères pré nicéens et lantiquité des Juifs.

Downloaded 3 versions March 2025, iPhone version, iPad version & PC version but none of the versions share information from one to another. If you make a note on the iPad, you can’t read it on the iPhone or PC so each version is completely stand alone. The iOS versions have a few nice features (Strong’s & Maps) but overall everything e-Sword does you can get for free on the internet. The PC version is very “clunky” and I much prefer other resources over e-Sword but the iPad version is decent as a stand alone but serious study or note taking falls short. iPhone is more limited due to small screen size but with KJV Plus Strongs it can be an effective tool. Had I known prior to purchase that each version doesn’t sync to the other versions I would not have chosen this software.

Stick with the kjv bible, all modern versions are corrupt

I’ve been an advocate for this app/program for many years. I even have it on CD. Absolutely baron the best Bible app available in my opinion. Please bring back the widget, I truly miss my daily verse. 4 stars without the widget.

Highlight does not work.

Just got this app for my iPad and immediately the reason for only 4 stars is there is no horizontal display option. This is my preference for most apps on my iPad. It would allow greater view for the multiple column setting. I have used e-Sword on my Windows PC and I’m spoiled I suppose. Other then this I believe this is still the best Study Bible resource available. UPDATE- Wanted to upgrade to the HD version app as it looks like it’s designed for iPad and horizontal display option, but no option in LT version to upgrade for added cost. You have to download the HD app for full price to get an upgrade. Hope this helps trying to choose between both versions for someone.

Absolutely love this app! It has helped me grow in knowledge very quickly. However, please update and allow horizontal viewing.

I wrote Rick directly and he assured me that he DOES NOT gather user data. Given these times, I believe this is a VERY important issue. I have used the most popular Bible app for many years and recently found that it had attempted to track my information 48 times in 12 hours from three different data companies. Why does a church need that data. I guess it goes back to, ‘if it’s free… it ain’t free’. Aside from being a great app, I now have a peace when reading the word. Thanks Rick and your team.

I’m disappointed because I was looking for a parallel Bible to see the difference between the King James Jewish Bible. When I try to download it that I do not understand and it looks like it will cost me get more money, but I how much

The app is almost perfect but I will greatly appreciate a landscape mode

The app seemed like a great app to purchase but the versions to selected are limited and you have to pay for each version not listed. Also there are other apps that are more robust like BLB which offer a more in depth study. It’s not a bad app but lacks compared to others.

I want to compare bibles side by side and the feature doesn’t work when I click on “Bible compare” it just shows a random Bible translation it doesn’t compare one Bible verse with another one like it’s supposed to.

But the widget is no longer available. Please bring it back! I love how it felt like a little morning message from The Most High Yahuah. Please please bring the widget back, it was also used for our homeschooling aswell.

Latest update broke the “compare” feature.

It’s nearly impossible to copy text and select what you want.

I would like to see this brought back if possible. As far as using app. Very helpful in witnessing to lost and referencing scripture to defend the truth, the word of God (KJB). When I don’t have my physical bible with me. Also great for looking up verses that I can’t remember were there at, the search engine on this app is excellent. Highly recommended.

What happened to the widget that provided a random Bible verse each time you went to it? Ow there just isn’t anything?

After the new update, the widget feature appears to be gone. Hope the developers consider bringing that back. I miss the random scripture.

I have the latest version and the instructions are missing HOW to add verses from the Bible to the Memory section. All it says is to go to the Bible section and add memory verses. There is NO ADD icon anywhere in the Bible section. I think I am being tested. Disappointed.

Why are some of the Bible’s locked I love the app but I want the NET Bible on here aswell

Here are my three main groups with this app… 1. This is not a KJV with Apocrypha because it’s missing books. It’s missing history of Susanna, Bel Of The dragon and the Prayer of Mannesah. 2. Unlike other Bible apps, it does not sink across your different devices. He wants you to pay a fee for each device like your desktop, iPad and iPhone. Why not charge one flat fee and they sync across all devices? 3. And this last one could be just a personal preference. Why do I have to hold down the scripture every time to add adjustments to a note already established. I should be able to click on that note one time to add or delete commentary or precepts. Lastly, I want to say that I don’t have a problem paying for this app and it services. It has potential. But the fact that I’m paying for a app that’s incomplete in my opinion because it’s missing books is unfair. Hopefully there will be some updates that can get this fixed.

Beyond grateful for this wonderful Bible app, I use it daily for my Bible study. Thank you!!!

The best bible tool! Love reading KJV+ best thing ever and has help my understanding of the Word immensely! Praise the LORD(H3068) GOD (H410) and his only begotten Son(G2525) from whom all blessings flow!

One suggestion as of now, would it be possible to allow this app to be used in landscape mode? For use with a iPad. Other than that great tool.

I love this app. Is there a way to also download other books so it shows up? Such as Enoch, Jubilees, etc?

Desktop, phone and tablet. Got it everywhere. I have used this app for several years. I use Bible Knowledge and John McArthur paid commentaries. David Guzik is my fave free commentary, especially when doing homiletics. I have several others just in case. I use my phone the most. Highlighting can be a bit tricky at times.

I absolutely love this Bible app! Great add on commentaries, resources, etc which most are free of charge. EXCEPT PART: No longer advances the text to the next chapter when listening to the fantastic audio. If you do not keep up with where you leave off, opening the app will put you back where you started the last time, not where you stopped listening. This did not use to be the case, it is a recent bug that I hope gets fixed sooner rather than later as it happens here in this iPhone version as well as the iPad version. (NOTE: similar but not the same apps)

Disappointed because it does not give the option once you have highlighted a verse to select the memorize hyperlinks to add to the memory tab.

The memory verses were impossible for me to figure out. This App isn’t user friendly. I tried google and still was left disappointed.

I absolutely love this app. I can’t think of too much that I would make different. I came here purposely to suggest this. It would be really great if you could make a username and password so that anytime no matter what device you were on all your highlighted things all your notes everything would still be there, when I go on my phone, which is what I use most of the time and where I highlight everything everything is there, but if I go to my computer all the stuff that I highlighted on my phone is not there. You have to go back through and highlight and underlying and put in notes all over again on each device I still gave a five star because it is a very good app

There is no option to turn off cellular data. I checked my iPhone 6 on 11.4 and there is an option to turn off cellular data through iPhone settings, e-sword. On my XR 16.1.1 and 15 pro iOS 17.0.2 there is no option. Why? I don’t want any app having full access to my cellular and or WiFi internet without my say so.

No other app or online program can compare to e-Sword. Thank you so much for the time and dedication given to this resource!

How do I get the esword icon on my iphone?

Hello, this is not a review yet. The app says that there are 4 languages, I want to change the language to Spanish, how do I do that? I just can’t find how to do it.

I love that in the ipad version you can read the text vertically and horizontally, not on iphone, bummer. Would be ideal to have that option.

Please make this app capable of viewing in landscape and also add marginal notes/references both for mobile app and in the computer software.

The creators of this app were anointed by God. This has helped me so much with cross reference, And commentaries and Hebrew and Greek. No other Bible app can top E-SWORD. 🔥

I have been using e-sword for around 15 years and nothing has been as comprehensive and easy to use to further my understanding in God’s word as this program. Highly recommended for anyone looking to understand deeper or simply start the day in devotionals and the reading of God’s word. My thanks to the developers of this program, God bless you.

Wanted to start memorizing which was one of the main reasons for purchasing but sadly disappointed as this feature doesn’t work for iPhone. Now I must look else where.

I am not sure when iit began, but when the auto reading is on the chapters do NOT move anymore. So, unless you wait to hear the chapter announced you won’t know what book or chapter is beyread. This is very annoying!!!! - note: I have been using this for several years.

Was not what I expected very limited no maps etc without making several other purchases

You can’t take notes on the app, You cannot download any other translation other than the two default. Waste of 4 dollars for what other apps do for free

I have been using this app for a while now and I love it, but the only thing I don’t care for now is I use to have the original 1911 KJV, and I think people may have had a hard time reading it because the words where different, but I really enjoyed that version of the Bible KJV, and a few of the Old one’s. And the Genova version from like 1580 , and the writing in that Bible was also written sorta like the Original 1611 KJV and I really liked the layout , and writing in them just (personally) . They just was not written like the ( KJVA) and they where on my laptop. But now I have a I phone, and e-sword in my opinion is the very best app.period. Because no other app offers the resources, Books, Commentary’s, Dictionary’s available through e-sword app. Plus you can read along audio Bible’s to. This is a Far Superior app versus other apps out there this app is great, and really that is why I went with the IPhone because this app would not run or download on android system. It must be to vast for them. But this is the only app to have on your phone, or your computer it takes I believe windows to download and run, and or Apple products, thenk and, and enjoy learning about the Lord, and be Blessed in Christ Jesus name amen 🙏
